Marilyn Laverne Ekstrom

Marilyn Ekstrom passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was 82 years of age.

Marilyn is survived by her sons, Kevin & Rick; six grandchildren, Kandy Ekstrom (Trevor Myers), Brad (Erin) Ekstrom, Austin (Alicia) Ekstrom, Jade (Kayden) Trenchuk, Devin Ekstrom, & Thomas Ekstrom; six great-grandchildren, Victoria, Zac, Isabell, Kendra, Hannah & Jaxon, plus three to arrive - one in September, and twins in January 2025. She is also survived by her sister, Deanna Palmer; and numerous extended family. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband, Thomas; her parents, Art & Vern; and four siblings.

Marilyn was born in Wadena, SK. After she and Thomas were married they moved to Calgary and raised their family. Marilyn loved caring for people. She worked as education assistant helping children with disabilities then went on to help care for elderly adults. The families she worked with adored her. She will be missed by many.
