Margaret Jean McKay

Margaret McKay, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026. She will be fondly remembered by her children, Jim, Susan and Theresa (Peter); as well as by her grandchildren, Steven, Robert (Alexandra), Shawn( Alyssa) and Frank; and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Scarlett, Bailey, Lilly, Kensie, Hana, Maren, and Fia. Margaret also leaves behind many cherished friends and extended family.

Born and raised in Calgary, Margaret married her beloved husband, Harry, in 1949, and they shared 40 wonderful years together. Predeceased by Harry; three of her children Wendy, Randy, Rick; and a granddaughter Jennifer, Margaret’s strength and love for her family remained constant throughout her life.

Margaret found joy in the outdoors, relishing in day trips to Kananaskis and yearly vacations to California, with Disneyland being a highlight. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories for all.

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place. Margaret will find her final resting place beside Harry at Rockyview Garden of Peace Cemetery, a testament to their enduring bond.
