Marcel Aristide Bourgoin

Marcel Bourgoin passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the age of 59 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Gisele; children Jean-Luc (Jodie) Guignard, of Calgary, AB, Claude (Johanne) Guignard, of Ontario, and Mathieu (Jenvieve) Guignard, of Powell River, BC; five grandchildren Makayla Damon, Alexander Guignard, Tyson Guignard, Alex Guignard and Jacob Guignard; mother Henriette Bourgoin; siblings Danny (Melissa) Bourgoin and Diane (Darren) Beaudin, both of Edmonton, AB; nieces and nephews Joey, Amanda, Elle, Andy, Jayna, and Hannah; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Hubald Bourgoin.

Marcel was born in Grand Falls, NB and graduated from Bathurst High School (BHS). Following High School he became certified as a heavy-duty mechanic and then received an accounting certificate from Le Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB). After moving to Alberta he started his own accounting business.

Marcel's favourite pastimes included playing cards and board games, but his favourite was poker. He was a happy go lucky person and was a wealth of knowledge.

A Celebration of Marcel's life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, Jubilee Branch #286 (#5, 1107 - 33 Street NE, Calgary) on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm.
