Lynnette Johnson

April 12, 1974 — June 27, 2018

Lynnette died peacefully within the loving arms of her family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. At her passing, a most spectacular sunset comforted those with her. Lynnette fought with a fierce determination for the people and things in her life that mattered most. As a single mom, she pursued a degree at LU and proudly displayed her BA degree. She loved the cats in her life, Button and Primrose as well Whiskers who is with her now. They had a special bond with her even as they disdained others.

Lynnette is survived by her precious daughter, Alexandra Johnson as well as Alexandra’s father, Ken Johnson, her twin brother Michael Brown, his wife Carly and their son Silus, her mother Jeannette/Jan Labbe (Joe), her grandfather Paul Labbe, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Lynnette was predeceased by her brother, Christopher Brown and grandparents, John and Mona Brown and Mary Labbe.

Lynnette’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 4 from 6 to 8pm at Pierson’s Funeral Home, 4121 – 17Ave, SE. Lynnette has requested that those attending wear bright colours and come ready to dance. Lynnette will be laid to rest along side her brother Christopher, in Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre at https://albertacancer.ca/donate/cancer-centres and select Tom Baker Centre where Lynnette received such great care and so much hope.
