It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Lyle French passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the age of 75 years.
The last five months had been very hard on him and his body, especially for a man that had not been sick in his 75 years with the exception of a cold every now and then.
Lyle will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deanna; his three brothers, Cecil, Ernie (Wendy) and Gordon (Cindy); his many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; great-great nieces and great-great nephews; Deanna’s brother, Henry (Linda); as well as Lyle’s close friends, Phil and Susan and their three children.
Lyle was predeceased by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his two sisters; Lyle’s four brothers and his many aunts and uncles; as well as Deanna’s sister and nephew.
There will be a celebration of life that will be held for Lyle at The Royal Canadian Legion, Jubilee Branch #286 (#5, 1107 – 33 Street NE, Calgary) on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am.
Thank you to the nursing staff of unit 74, for taking such good care of Lyle in his last 39 days.
In lieu of flowers and at Lyle’s request, Please donate to the Calgary Humane Society (https://www.calgaryhumane.ca/) or S.T.A.R.S. (https://stars.ca/)

Deanna. Nancy & I send our sincere condolences on Lyle’s passing. Unfortunately we are currently in the Southern Caribbean and won’t be able to attend the Celebration of life on Saturday. We’ll be back in High River next Tuesday. If there is anything I can do in your time of need, please let me know.
