Luciano Dalla Costa

Luciano Dalla Costa of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after a long battle with COPD. 

Luciano and his family immigrated to Canada when he was young and lived in Calgary until his passing. He worked for Rich Minerals Contracting as a foreman and machine operator until his retirement, building long and lasting friendships with many of his colleagues. Luciano lived a full and meaningful life spending time with those he loved, often enjoying long drives, travelling, and spending time with his son during the later stages of his life, while finding joy in simple things and the time he spent with his close friend.

Luciano is survived by his son, Michael Dalla Costa; his daughter, Gina Dalla Costa; his two grandchildren, Marcello and Luca Fontana; his sisters, Lucia Ferronatto and Yole Daniel; his sister-in-law, Gloria Dalla Costa; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Maria Dalla Costa (nee Ribecco); his mother, Assunta Dalla Costa (nee Cecchetto); his father, Eugenio Dalla Costa; his brothers, Gino and Ermano Dalla Costa; his sister, Maria Dalla Costa; his brother-in-law, Keith Daniel; and his great-great-niece, Brooklynn Daniel-Heldt.
