Lourdes Navarro

Lourdes Navarro passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the age of 93 years.

Lourdes was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and a woman of strong faith. As a full time homemaker, she created a home where everyone was welcomed with warmth and care. Her days were spent raising her children, caring for the grandchildren and offering support to those around her. Lourdes was the heart of our family – a constant source of wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love. A woman of deep religious conviction, Lourdes found strength and purpose in her faith. Her life was guided by prayer, compassion, and generosity. Her quiet strength, loving heart, and deep devotion will be missed beyond words, and remembered forever.

Lourdes is survived by her husband, Marcelino Navarro; children, Marlor (Erlina) Navarro of Calgary, Alberta, Marcelino (Lina) Navarro of Baguio, Philippines, Lorma Ostrea of Baguio, Philippines, Marilou (Eric) Dela Rosa of Calgary, Alberta, Marlito (Tammy) Navarro of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren, Ian Navarro of Calgary, Marlor Navarro Jr. of Calgary, Marvin (Sherryl) Navarro of Philippines, Erickson (Christine) Navarro of Philippines, Michael (Alice) Ostrea of Texas U.S.A., Mark Anthony (Yam) Ostrea of Philippines, Jennifer (Johnny) Abalin of Philippines, Jason (Sheila) Ostrea of London, Ontario, Anna Lorraine of Philippines, Erickson (Brittany) of Calgary, Jerrick Dela Rosa of Calgary, Thomas Navarro of Calgary, Jasmine Navarro of Calgary, Anthoni Navarro of Calgary; great-grandchildren, Justine, Renzo, Theo, Sam, Erich, Alyana, Albert, Alby, Kurt, Kian, Christine, Gustav, Gio, Charley, Arthur.

Lourdes was predeceased by her brother, Edwin Arevalo; sister Lita Dumo; grandson, Thomas Navarro; granddaughter, Marlin Navarro; son-in-law, Ed Ostrea.

Visitation and Prayers will be held at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 - 17 Ave SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Lourdes at St. Mark's Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive NE, Calgary) on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.

A Graveside Service will follow the reception at Mountain View Memorial Gardens (1605 - 100 St SE, Calgary) following the reception.
