Linda Anne Rivers

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Rivers announces her passing on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the age of 69 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving sons, Michael Kelbert of Calgary, AB and Daniel Kelbert of Edmonton, AB; her much adored grandchildren, David Kelbert, Samuel Kelbert, and Amelia Kelbert, all of Calgary, AB; and her siblings, Joyce Rivers of Winnipeg, MB, Sandra Hamilton of Penticton, BC, Ron Rivers of Penticton, BC and Richard Rivers of Winnipeg, MB. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Herald and Muriel Rivers. Linda was born in Empress, AB. She attended Crandall High School in Crandall MB, eventually matriculating at St. Boniface Nursing School. She enjoyed a long and successful career as a cytotechnologist with the Calgary Laboratory Services. Linda devoted her time to her church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was passionate for music, both the piano and organ. She will be forever missed. A Funeral Service will be held for Linda at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 24th Street Chapel, 10923 – 24 Street SW, Calgary, on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment to take place at Queen’s Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Calgary Region, #400, 1202 Center Street S, Calgary, AB T2G 5A5.
