Leza Dawn Pebernat
December 11, 1954 — July 16, 2020
Leza Pebernat passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Thursday July 16, 2020 at the age of 65 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bruce Perin; children William Delday of Calgary, AB, Bobbi Rae Sewall of Cochrane, AB, Kida (Matt) Stevens of Calgary, AB, and Chad (Michaela) Sewall of Strathmore, AB; step-children Ryan (Jessica) Perin of Edmonton, AB and Kyla (Neal) Sorensen of St Albert, AB; grandchildren Arthur, Nora, Finn, Cole, Rory, Laura and Caleb; siblings Lynne Parohl of Calgary, AB, Thomas (Laurie) Pebernat of Shannigan Lake, BC, and Clarke Pebernat of Vancouver, BC; numerous nieces and nephews and many more family and friends.
Leza was born in Virden, MB and was raised in Brooks, Red Deer, and Calgary AB. She raised her children on a ranch in Patricia, AB. Leza was a very caring, compassionate and generous person who loved helping others. This love for others led her thru the first half of her career in Brooks, AB., overseeing a Seniors Health Care Program. The later half of her career was spent in oil and gas, where Leza made significant contributions to the Well Completions team as a DQA technician. She was admired and respected by all those she worked with both in the office and in the field. This part of her career moved her to Calgary, AB., where she made her home with Bruce for the past 18 years. Leza loved hiking, gardening, music, interior design, cooking, baking, travelling (toes in the sand), and most of all she loved being a Mom and Nana and spending as much time as possible with her family and dear friends.
Leza’s family would like to express their gratitude to the medical team that worked with her, including Dr. Sinclair, Dr. Radwell, Dr Wu, Dr. Card, and Dr. Tang.
A Celebration of Leza’s life will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Leza to The Children’s Wish Foundation (www.childrenswish.ca/donate).
