Kirk Brandon Slater

Kirk was born in Prince Albert Saskatchewan on September 17, 1961 and passed away on May 8, 2023 in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 61 years. Kirk was the eldest of 3 children. Kirk met the love of his life, Grace through correspondence with letters. They were married in the Philippines on May 12, 1995. They made their life together in Calgary where they had a son named Kael on December 4, 2001. Kirk started his own business in transportation. He was an avid sports fan who could be found fondly watching his son Kael play hockey and baseball. Left to cherish in his memory are his wife, Grace; Kirk’s son, Kael; his mother, Joan (Robin) Connauton; father, David Slater; his siblings, Greg (Audra) Slater; Holly (Mike Masse) Slater; Kirk’s niece Afton Slater (Chris Bishop); his nephew, Tanner (Kelsie) Slater, and 3 Great Nephews and 2 Great Nieces, Kaden, Jackson, Kali, Ava, Lucas Knowler.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Kirk at Pierson’s Funeral Service (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
