Kerry Shane O'Bray passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 75 years.
He was a dedicated logistics professional in the supply chain industry, known for his hard work and commitment to his work and his family.
Kerry’s life was filled with many accomplishments, including serving a mission for the church as a young adult. Throughout his life he studied and loved to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He put the Gospel into action with his empathetic and generous spirit by often sharing anything he had in order to help others in need.
In his spare time, Kerry thrived when engaging in US politics, through conversations, online political forums, veraciously reading and writing short stories and essays. He enjoyed music with a variety of artists including Elvis, Nana Mouskouri, Cher, and Neil Diamond - only to name a few.
Above all else, Kerry cherished his beautiful wife, Diane. In his later years, Kerry often expressed his immense gratitude for the love and care of his beloved wife. Kerry was a gentle and caring father. His humour and genuine concern for his children and grandchildren are only a couple of the things his posterity will miss.
Kerry will be deeply missed by his wife, Diane O’Bray (née Campagnola); children, Spencer (Tracey) O’Bray, Katrina (Duncan) Miller, and Victoria (Joel) Sandberg; 7 grandchildren, Makaelyn Miller, Benson Miller, Ian Watmough, Bailey Miller, Cameron Watmough, Harrison Miller, and Cole Sandberg; brother, Brian O’Bray; nieces, Terra (Cliff MacDonald) Bischoff, and Amber Robinson.
He was predeceased by his son, Bradley O’Bray; grandson, Ian Watmough; parents, Lubert O’Bray and Margaret O’Bray (née Holt); sister, Cheryl Bishoff; brother, Dene O’Bray; brother-in-law, Ivan Bishoff; Nephew, Troy Bishoff.
A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
