Kenneth Leonard Hore, a devoted husband of 60 years, loving father, and respected engineer, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta. Born on December 30, 1945, in Welland, Ontario, Kenneth dedicated much of his life to his profession and those he held dear.

Throughout his long and fulfilling career, Kenneth excelled as an engineer, bringing dedication and expertise to every project he undertook. His thoughtful and caring nature extended beyond his work; he was known among family and friends as a loving presence who valued kindness and compassion.

He found great joy in camping amid the tranquility of the outdoors, crafting woodworking projects and sharing quality time with his family. A hockey enthusiast, he made sure to never miss a game.

Family was at the heart of Kenneth’s world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Hore, who stood steadfastly by his side throughout their years together. He leaves behind cherished grandchildren, Kaitlynn and Justin Kemp. Kenneth also is survived by his brother Phil Hore, who carried the bond of brotherhood through many stages of life.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Joanne Hore, and his sons, Kenny and Kevin Hore. He also mourned the loss of his siblings, Terry and Audrey, whose memories remain treasured.

Kenneth Leonard Hore’s legacy is one of warmth, dedication, and heartfelt care. He will be remembered for his loving spirit, his contributions as an engineer, and the deep connections he fostered with all who knew him. His family and friends will carry forward his memory, honoring a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
