Kenneth Brian Marr-Fortier
April 24, 1951 — June 6, 2022
Kenneth Marr-Fortier passed away on Monday June 6, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 71 years of age.
Ken is predeceased by his parents, Leo Ernest Fortier and Marie Lucille Fortier (nee Hayes); and brother, Wayne ‘Jay’ Fortier.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Regina; children, Steve (Denise) Marr and Andreas Hellmer (Trixie Rose); seven grand-children; and sister, Debbie (Barry) Proulx.
Ken was born in Gatineau, QC before eventually settling in Calgary. He had several jobs including manager at an auto body shop. Most recently he helped his wife, Regina run her butcher shop. Regina eventually sold the business and they retired.
Ken loved to garden. He and Regina have cultivated a beautiful and lush sanctuary in the back yard of their home. It was Ken’s favourite place to relax. He and Regina were best friends and soul mates. Ken will be missed by all his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
