On Thursday, August 7, 2025 Kenneth Lowell Bowser, of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 70 years.
A member of the Calgary community since 1982, Ken's journey through life was marked by his unwavering spirit and vibrant passion for the world around him.
For over three decades, Ken dedicated his professional life to Checker Courier/One Transport, where he became a beloved figure among his colleagues. His commitment did not just stop at work; Ken was known for infusing joy into every aspect of his life, especially through his love of camping. Many will remember him sitting around a campfire, enjoying the warmth of good company paired with a cold beer, where his signature humor brought laughter to those moments.
Ken had an unparalleled talent for delivering really bad dad jokes, which he shared generously with anyone who crossed his path. This light-heartedness reflected his character, making him a source of positivity and camaraderie among friends and family alike. His desire for over-decorating during holidays showcased his exuberance for life and his desire to create memorable experiences for those he loved.
Ken’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of many, but his legacy of joy, laughter, and love for the simple pleasures of life will forever be remembered. He will be deeply missed but fondly recalled by all whose lives he touched.
Ken is survived by his children Karen (Paul) Crossman, Kathleen Bowser (Mike Gerrior), Kimberly (Troy) MacKenzie, Kelly Bowser (Randy Walsh) all of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren Amber Crossman, Morgan Crossman, Brianne MacKenzie, Brandon MacKenzie, Brooklyn MacKenzie, Alex Buck, Ethan Buck, Savannah Gerrior, Zack Walsh, Kyle Walsh; great-grandchildren Lexii Crossman, Liam Shadbolt, Adalynn Buck; and siblings Debbie Bowser, Joyce Bowser, Michael Bowser all of Montreal, Quebec.
Ken is predeceased by a granddaughter Brittany Mackenzie, great-grandson Marcus MacKenszie, father Kenneth Bowser, mother Katherine Roy, brothers Wayne Bowser and Ronny Bowser.
A celebration of life for Ken will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place at Foothills Crematorium.
