Kelly Lynne Birkbeck

January 31, 1984 — April 3, 2026

Calgary, Alberta

Kelly Birkbeck passed away on April 3, 2026 at the age of 42 from heart failure.

Kelly was born January 31, 1984 in her family home to proud parents Cora Lynne and Terry Birkbeck.

She grew up in NE Calgary playing Barbies and school with her best friend Lisa, while being followed around by her adoring little sister Shannon who wanted to be just like her big sister Kelly (and still does). She was chased and “tormented” by her big brother Doug and honorary brothers Mike and Shaun.

Later in life she would be blessed with 3 little “nephews” Jacob, Jackson and Levi whom she loved and spoiled as much as she could.

As a tour manager she travelled across Canada from the Rockies to Niagara Falls and everywhere in between, showing off our beautiful country to guests from around the world and making them feel special in a way that only Kelly could.

Kelly was a world traveller. She saw Oktoberfest in Germany, St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland and Boston, the Full Moon Festival in Thailand. She cruised to Antarctica to see penguins and whales. She saw the pyramids of Egypt, cruised the Nile and held baby crocodiles. Saw Petra ‘The Rose City’ of Jordan. Visited Viking ships in Norway, partied in New Orleans for Mardi Gras and again for The Vampire Ball at Halloween, took a road trip from Las Vegas to LA and listened to live country music in Nashville. She went to Disney World in Orlando where she loved the Expedition Everest ride along with Tower of Terror, Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain. She rode The Vodka Train through Russia, China and Mongolia, visited the Bahamas where she stayed in ‘Paradise’. Kelly posed with smiling quokkas in Australia, ate gelato in Italy, climbed the Eiffel tower in France. She saw the temples of Cambodia including the famous Angkor Wat, saw the acropolis of Greece, the beaches of Mexico, Malta and Croatia and experienced countless other adventures across the globe.

Kelly is survived by her father Terry Birkbeck; her brother Doug Birkbeck; and sister Shannon Birkbeck.

She is predeceased by her mother Cora Lynne Birkbeck.

Kelly was truly good. She was loved by everyone that knew her. Her beautiful smile, kind heart, generosity and sense of humour will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kelly's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada

A service is planned for a later date.
