We are sad to announce the passing of our dear mother, Kay Kesler, who passed away on January 12, 2024, in Raymond, AB at the age of 79. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who was always there when we needed her.

Kay was born October 2, 1944, in Louis Trichardt, Transvaal South Africa to father, Kenneth Charles Bristow; and mother, Phyllis Elizabeth Knott Bristow, who both predeceased her.  She grew up with three brothers and three sisters. She leaves behind her sons, Dennis Wayne Kesler of Coutts, Roddy Wade Kesler (Jennifer) of Calgary, Leonard Scott Kesler (Stephanie) of Bogota, Columbia; Kay's daughter, Shelley Kay Kesler Knapp of Havre, Montana; her eight grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Alex Xavier Kesler, Mikayla Ellen Jade Kesler, Hannah Morgan Grace Kesler, Kashtin Davis Kesler, Shayla Kay Knapp, Katarina Eldeen Knapp, Hannah Cayenne Kesler and Shane Dallas Kesler; as well as her many nieces and nephews and her two loyal companions (dogs) Jessie and Mija.

She is predeceased by her Son, Shane Chadwick Kesler; sister, Dawn Ann Bristow Forrester; her brother, Paul Duncan Bristow; and sister in law Evelyn Bristow.

Mom loved keeping busy whether it was learning a new language, painting, baking, knitting, playing the piano, gardening, building, studying the scriptures, and spending time in the great outdoors. She enjoyed traveling to document her family history, including many trips back to South Africa.

She loved serving others and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints holding various positions, Relief Society President, Sunday School Teacher, Ward Family History Leader, Primary Teacher and Activity Days Leader.
