Karin Cheryl Boll

Karin Cheryl Boll was born on August 22, 1950 in Whitehorse, Yukon. She was raised by her paternal grandparents in Banff, AB where she attended Banff Elementary and Composite High Schools. She graduated from Notre Dame College in Wilcox, SK in 1970. That same year, she began working at Calgary's Holy Cross Hospital in the dietary department. In 1972, she welcomed her son, Jason. In 1975, Karin started work at the Indefinite Art Society as a receptionist. She tended the shop where disabled artists could sell their artwork. She then moved to Banff in 1979 to work at a motel, after which she attended a course at a career college. Then in 1987, she moved to Calgary where she took up work as a receptionist and word processor for Data Stren then Odyssey Computers. In 1985, Karin also worked as personal assistant to realtor, Pat Vuong then as a receptionist for Remax North until the company downsized in 1989, after which she moved to Canada Trust until 1992 when she began working from home caring fro children.

Karin has always been active in her community serving on the Albert Park Radisson Heights Community Association (APRH) since 1989. She served on many committees and was recognized with a plaque from the board where she served as secretary from 1989 to 1996. She enjoyed meeting up with friends and playing bingo.

She is survived by her son, Jason Boll (Rosemarie Uanang); three grandchildren, Sara Houston, Brandon (Teresa) Boll & Sam Boll; and her two wonderful great-granddaughters whom she loved very much. Karin is also loved and missed by her sister, Raven (Malcolm); nephew, Daniel; along with numerous cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Charlie & Vi Harbridge; father and stepmother, Bob & Bonnie Harbridge; mother, Elsie Smith; and sister, Kim Harbridge.

As per Karin's wishes, there will be no funeral service or celebration of life.
