Judy Mae Billington

Judy Billington passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the age of 69 years. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Warren; children, Teri, Tara (Kevin) & Robert (Tomika); grandchildren, Kayleemae, Jordyn & Charlee; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Cindy, Russ, Donnie, Diane & Christa; and extended family. She is predeceased by two brothers, Robert & Lloyd and two sisters, Rosalita & Cheryl. 

Judy was born and raised in Calgary and was very proud of her native Cree heritage. She was a woman known for her warmth, kindness, and love for her family. She will be remembered for the joy brought to every family gathering, especially during Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. Her kitchen was filled with melodies of country music as she shared precious moments with her grandchildren. She had the most beautiful long hair and her smile could light up any room. Her desire to help others knew no bounds.

One of Judy's defining traits was her thirst for knowledge. She approached life with a curious mind and an open heart, always eager to learn something new. Her independence and strength were an inspiration to all who knew her.

A lover of nature, Judy found solace in gardening, particularly tending to colorful flowers that bloomed under her care. She had a talent for refurbishing furniture, breathing new life into old pieces with her creative touch. Animals held a special place in her heart, evident in the love she showered upon her three cats and dog.

Among Judy's proudest accomplishments was her active involvement in children's sports. Kids meant everything to her, and she dedicated her time and energy to supporting and encouraging them in their pursuits. 

Judy Mae Billington leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by her surviving family members and friends. In this time of grief, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Judy and the love she so freely gave.

Rest in peace, Judy. Your spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
