KRIEGER, Joyce Cleo (nee Eidem) May 15, 1931 – September 22, 2014
Joyce Cleo Krieger passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on September 22, 2014 at the age of 83 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her three children, Sherry (Gordon) of Wesbank, BC, Gerald (Debbie) of Calgary, AB, and Darrell of Thailand; her four grandchildren, Jeremy, Meighan (Aaron), Jordan and Cole; and her siblings, Ray and Joan. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; daughter-in-law, Lynn; sisters, Margaret, Helen, Stella, and Olive; brothers, Palmer, Eddie, and Earl; and her parents, John and Clara. Born on the family farm in Saskatchewan, Joyce eventually settled with her husband and children in Calgary where she spent many years selling Avon. She loved to spend her time playing Mahjong, keeping tabs on family and friends through Facebook and will be missed by all who loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held in Joyce’s honour on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the home of Gerald and Debbie Krieger, 276 Douglasbank Dr. S.E. Calgary from 2:00-6:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6 or the Canadian Cancer Society, # 200 – 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5.
