With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Joshua 'Josh' Thomas Rossiter, who left us unexpectedly on March 31, 2026. Born on June 30, 1992, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Josh’s vibrant spirit and generous heart touched those who knew him.
Josh was cherished for his kindness, warmth, and an outgoing nature that drew people to him. When he wanted to be, he could be very persuasive and convincing. He was also generous and friendly.
Josh loved driving and working on vehicles. He had recently acquired an older model Audi and had plans to work on it. His favorite color was red, a reflection of his vibrant personality, and his taste in food brought smiles to those around him—fries and chicken in all their savory forms were among his greatest comforts. Josh loved rap music and would often be heard singing, "Me & Doodie Low" by King Von.
Josh’s life was enriched by his cherished family and friends. He is lovingly survived by his devoted mother, Phyllis Rossiter; father, John Rossiter; his sisters, Meagan “Maggie” Rossiter and Jessica Beckwith; his uncle, Rudi Loechert and his son, Hunter Rossiter. He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Clayton and Joanna Rossiter; his aunts and uncle, Marie Watson, Pam Wiseman, and John Elliott. Though his maternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Loechert, have passed before him, their legacy lives on in the family’s enduring love.
The loss of Josh strikes a heavy chord among those who knew his bright and passionate presence. He will be remembered not only for the person he was but for the joy and light he brought into the lives of those around him.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Josh’s life will be held on Friday April 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Pierson's Funeral Services, located at 4121 17 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2A 0T1, Canada. It will be a time for family, friends, and community to come together, to honor his memory and to find comfort in shared remembrance.
Though taken too soon, Josh’s spirit endures in the hearts of his loved ones. His legacy of generosity, kindness, and love remains a guiding light, reminding us all to embrace life with the same passion and warmth that he so freely shared.
