John Sylvester Low

Low, John Sylvester BSc., M.D., FRCPC September 11, 1932 – April 28, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Low announces his passing on April 28, 2014, at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Coleen; his children, John “S” (Colleen) Low of Rossmoor CA, Kristeli (Hugh) Burns of Longbeach CA, LaSchelle Low of Manhatten Beach CA, MarNai (Greg) Johnston of Holly Springs NC, and Robert J. (Lilly) Low of Calgary AB, his 12 grandchildren; and his sister, Helen Usevitch of Huntington Beach CA. John was predeceased by his daughter Nalene Low; his parents Joseph and Margaret Low; his sister Elizabeth Stubbs; and his brothers Dick Low and Bob Low. John was a loving husband and father. He made family a priority and excelled in his work as an anesthesiologist. Working for 26 years based out of the Foothills Medical Center. John volunteered his time for his church as a Bishop and a missionary and also his community and profession by serving as an active member of the Alberta Medical Association and lecturer to the medical and nursing students at the University of Calgary. John loved cars, enjoyed skiing and traveling with his family. Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Willow Park Chapel 940 Acadia Drive SE on Saturday May 3, 2014 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 to 10:30 prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at the Cardston Cemetery at 4:30 pm.
