John Allan Krasnodemski

John Krasnodemski passed away peacefully at the age of 66 years old in Calgary, Alberta.

Born on March 1, 1960, when Canmore was still a small town, Johnny was instantly adopted into the community as one of their own. Growing up, his disabilities didn't slow him down. The 3rd street kids took him to the swimming hole, made him goalie in their road hockey games, and would knock on the door to see if Johnny could come out and play.

As a teenager, Johnny outgrew the level of care in Canmore and moved to Calgary, but was still able to come home every weekend. He loved his cards, Hocky Night in Canada, the Calgary Flames, Doritos and the song "Leader of the Pack" was his absolute favourite. Johnny was always up for a big meal, especially at Christmas and his birthday, and a wrapped present brought him so much joy.
John found a beautiful and caring home with Rachel Dominguez and her family over the last 25 years. Rachel's compassion and care along with Cynthia Basiliano's dedication made Johnny's quality of life the best it could be.

Gone before him are his parents, John and Lois Krasnodemski, and sister Margaret Haynes. John is lovingly remembered by his brother Jim (Amy) Krasnodemski, and his sisters Ronda Krasnodemski, Jeanette (David) Small and Carole (Glenn) Nelson and their daughters Kristie (Alex) and Amy Lee (Kyle).

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Dalhousie Community Church (5511 Baroc Road NW, Calgary, AB). Service will be conducted by the Metro Filipino Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Interment to follow service at the Canmore Cemetery.
