It is with great sadness that the family of John Frisken announces his passing at the age of 74 years. John is survived by his wife of 39 years Anne (nee Hamar de la Brethoniere); his children Darrel (Brenda) Frisken, Laurel (Conrad) Loewen, Arlene (Paul) Krywcun, Michael (Alethea) Frisken, Steven (Brenda) Frisken; grandchildren Charlotte, Megan, Kyle, Melissa, Jeremy, Leandra, Shane, Hannah and Josephine; sister Donna Bright (Dave) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Bernice and Donald and his brother-in-law Ron. John, originally from New Norway, AB, attended high school in Camrose and retired in Calgary from a lifelong career with CIBC. He was an avid hiker, self-taught harmonica and piano player, loved travelling and spending time outdoors. Celebration of Life to be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Ave SE) on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Wayne Lewry officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (100, 119-14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6). Messages of condolence may be forwarded to the family at www.piersons.ca.
