It is with sadness that the family of Joanne Barrack announce that she passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the age of 59 years in Calgary, AB. Joanne was a loving mom and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family. Those that she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughters Jennifer (Jared) Erichsen, Patricia (Troy) Andersen both of Calgary, AB, and Andrea (Garret) Thornton of New Brigden, AB; her grandchildren Brenan, Dylan, Karter, Bennett, Calum, Braxton, Paisley, and Kiptyn; her mother Joyce Casebeer; the father of her children, Bill; her siblings Dwane (Donna) Casebeer of Wetaskiwin, AB, Doug (Lynette) Casebeer of Edmonton, AB, Lori (Ron) Tremblay of Calgary, AB, and Colin (Laura) Casebeer of Edmonton, AB. Joanne was predeceased by her father Loyd Casebeer and her In-laws Mary and George Barrack. Joanne served as an LPN and was a member of the Sedalia Women of Uniform. She loved being able to get out and enjoy the great outdoors and to spend time camping, especially if the camping trip involved fishing and smoking cigars with her son-in-laws, playing cards and games. She enjoyed knitting afghans and dishcloths for her family and friends. Any time she was able to enjoy a sporting event or dancing presentation that her grandchildren were involved in, she was there cheering them on. She will be remembered for her amazing baking, especially her cinnamon buns. Joanne’s daughters and grandchildren will miss her special “Jo-isms”, especially her unique sense of humour which will be in their hearts forever. A Funeral Service will be held for Joanne at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Dr NW, Calgary, AB) on March 17th, 2016 at 11 am.
