Leason, Joan Florence (nee Kenyon) January 28, 1935 – February 10, 2014
Joan Leason passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the age of 79 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edward “Jay” (Mary) Leason and Cheryl Leason (Rob); grandchildren Michael Leason, Melanie (John) Murray and Eric Leason; great grandson Lucas Murray; sister Lorraine Orr; niece Debra (Tim) Legault; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph “Bud” Leason. Joan was born in Brock, Saskatchewan. At the age of six, her family moved to Calgary which has been her home ever since. She worked as an administrator first with Swift Canadian and then with Calgary Power Ltd., now Transalta Utilities. She loved gardening and traveling, but her greatest passion was her family. Joan’s family would like to thank all of the staff at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore for all of the care and attention they showed Joan for the past 12 years. A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
