It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, nana and friend. Jill passed away suddenly on November 2 at home. Born March 20, 1953 in Calgary, AB, she was the daughter of Gordon & Yvonne West. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Owen; daughter, Jennifer (Orrin); son, Gordon (Desiree); 4 grandchildren, Brayden, Logan, Aurora, Kira; sisters, Ann Marie (Barry), Barb (Justin) and brother, Ted. Jill spent her career of 43 years working with and advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities. She loved gardening, animals and adored her children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in celebration of Jill’s life at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – Reunion Chapel (900 Reunion Gateway NW, Airdrie) on Saturday November 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Special Olympics. (http://specialolympicscalgary.ca/donate.html)
