With deep and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Jennifer, who left this world suddenly and far too soon on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the age of 71.
Jennifer was the cherished wife and soulmate of Gary Taylor, with whom she shared 53 years of unwavering love and partnership. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, resilience, and devotion. She was a proud and loving mother to three sons - Jeff, Trevor, and Derek - and her nurturing spirit extended to her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy.
Before her retirement, Jennifer was a dedicated employee with over 20 years of service to the City of Calgary as a Transit Operator She was known for her kindness, reliability, and ever-present smile. In 1980, she and Gary joined the Calgary Flames family, where they became a life-long friends to many. Her presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of meeting her.
Known for lighting up every room with her radiant smile and gentle heart, Jennifer lived by the simple and profound belief: “It was meant to be.” Her joy was contagious, her laughter unforgettable, and her love, unconditional.
Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gary Taylor; sons, Jeffrey Taylor, Derek (Kristy Trewin) Taylor; grandchildren, Nathan (Maggie), Kenedee, Brook, Ty, Mathew (Haley), and great-grandchildren, Maverick, Ariel, Preston, Gabrial. She was predeceased by her son, Trevor, in 2001.
Jennifer will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed enough to have crossed paths with her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Jennifer at Country Lane Estates (370165-79 Street East, Aldersyde, Alberta T0L 0A0) on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
