Jean Lillian Fischer

Jean Lillian Fischer passed away peacefully at the McKenzie Towne Care Centre on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by her eternal companion Ben Fischer Sr.; her parents Andrew and Margaret Fleming; her dear sister Mary (Al) Gospodor; and two brothers in infancy. Jean and Ben have three surviving children Sharon (Jan Sr.) Allen, Ben (Vickie) Fischer, and Brenda (David) Guinn. She was the proud Grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. Jean loved her home, family, friends, and was a very compassionate woman. Jean was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in different capacities. Her faith and strength was admired by those who knew her. Jean was lovingly cared for and adored by the staff at the McKenzie Towne Care Center for the past 8 years and she loved them in return. “And now I bid unto all, farewell. I soon go to rest in the paradise of God, until my spirit and body shall again reunite, and I am brought forth triumphant through the air, to meet you before the pleasing bar of the great Jehovah, the Eternal Judge of both quick and dead. Amen.” (Moroni 10:34)
