Jan lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at the foothills hospital at the age of 63 years. She is survived by her husband Allan; son Jeffery (Sarah); daughter Jennifer and granddaughter Madelyn (Maddy) Jai Carty. At Jan’s request there will be no funeral service held. She will be laid to rest in the summer 2014 in British Columbia. Donations may be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society #200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary AB, T2E 2P5.
