Jan Berend Wolters
March 17, 1927 — May 13, 2021
Jan Wolters was taken to his heavenly home to be in glory and in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday May 13, 2021 at the age of 94 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael (Evelyn) and their children, Erin (Richard), Jordan (Caleb), Colin & Ryan; and Marcus (Gladys) and their children, Alex and Stefan; seven great grandchildren, Luke, Claire, Jacob, Joanna, Matthew, Nash and Reese; and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann since 2016; and two older brothers, Henk and Jaap.
Jan was born and raised in the Netherlands. In the early 50’s, he immigrated to Alberta and in 1963 married Ann Beldman who is also from the Netherlands. They started their family in Calgary which is where they have lived ever since.
A Funeral Service will be held for Jan at Bethel Reformed Church of Calgary (730 – 101 Street SW, Calgary) on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 1:00pm. Due to gathering restrictions, attendance is by invitation only and for immediate family. A livestream of the service will be made available via the churches website
