James “Jim” Pogson

September 10, 1962 — June 18, 2022

James “Jim” Pogson passed away on suddenly on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the age of 59 years. Jim is predeceased by his parents; Sharon (nee Fisher) and Bill Pogson; His Step-Father; Patrick Oel, and his In-laws Naomi and Albert Letourneau. Jim was born in at the General hospital in Calgary. He was raised in the Marlborough area and attended Forest lawn High school. While there he met the love of his life and future wife, Alisa. They had four children and spend many wonderful years together. Jim worked in the hospitality industry. His job took his family many places. One of those places was Castor, Alberta where Jim made many lasting friendships. Jim and Alisa eventually settled on an acreage in Rocky Mountain House. A place they called home for many years. Jim worked as Manager of night operations at the Tamarack Hotel. Unfortunately, Jim developed health problems and was forced to retire from his career in hospitality. He then started driving a cab for Ace cabs. He spent his last years filling his home with grandchildren, fur babies and love. Jim will be forever missed. besides his loving wife Alisa, Jim is survived by his Children; Jenica (Jason) Wynnyk of Sylvan Lake, Jondelle Pogson of Rocky Mountain House, Jimmy Pogson of Calgary, and Justin Pogson of Rocky Mountain House. His eight grandchildren; Alexis, Jordan, John, Kaitlee, A.J, Keaton, Jozalyn and Joleen. His siblings; Jackie (Gerard) Bruha, And John (Michelle) Oel. Brother’s and sister’s in law; Maurice Letourneau, Chick Letourneau, Carol (Barry) Wright, Michelle (Percy) Janzen and Andrea Chambers. He will also be missed by his Aunt; Sheryl Fisher and many loving nephews and nieces. Donations for Jim can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Society.

A Funeral Service will be held for James “Jim” at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – rocky mountain house on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
