James Robert "Bob" Graver, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 69. Born on July 31, 1955, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, James led a life marked by hard work, and dedication, especially to his faith and belief in God.
Throughout his varied career, James wore many hats: he was a nurse, farmer, truck driver, and a sanitization driver for the City of Calgary. His professional journeys showcased not only his diverse skills, but also his commitment to serving others.
James was a lifelong learner, completing various computer courses and earning his pastor certification.
Known for being hardworking and having a genuine concern for people, James touched the lives of those he knew through his desire to impart the knowledge that he had gleaned throughout his life.
James had a soft spot in his heart for children, and one of the ways that he would express this, was to give unsuspecting parents stuffed animals for their children. These were acquired at truck stop vending machines and mostly consisted of Looney Toons characters.
In his leisure time, James enjoyed writing poetry, reading, and photography. His most recent accomplishment in writing was his book, "Journey of the Seed".
James is survived by his ex-wife, Deborah Lynn Rawlyk, Joshie Brown, Louise Brown, Joy Graver, and his brothers, Curtis Graver and Sudder Graver along with their families and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Graver and Marjorie June Goodwin, and his brother, Frederick Graver.
A Service of Remembrance for James' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Calgary Faith Revival Church, 3812 Edmonton Trail, Calgary, Alberta.
