On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Jacqueline Helen Judd, beloved wife of Glen Judd of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 81 years. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Glen; children, Reginald (Brenda) Judd, Susan (Dave) Cain, Robert (Teresa) Judd; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Joan (John) McNeill; in-laws Carol, Greta and Stephen Judd; and many nieces and nephews.
Jacquie was born and raised in Medicine Hat, with the family moving to Calgary during her high school years. Jacquie graduated from Crescent Heights High School and went on to spend a year in New Zealand before returning to Calgary where she met Glen while working for the City of Calgary. The couple married in May 1965, and immediately started their family.
Jacquie spent many years working for Reid Crowther Engineering where she forged many lasting friendships. In her later years, she worked for several smaller firms before retiring. Her favourite activities included gardening, cooking, sewing, playing cards with friends, and spending time at their vacation spot at Mara Lake, B.C. More than anything else, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing games, baking special treats, and watching the kids play sports.
A Celebration of Jacquie’s Life for close family and friends will be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
