Jacqueline Suzzanne Minard

July 25, 1960 — November 5, 2015

Jacki passed away peacefully with her family holding her hands on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 55 years. Jacki will be lovingly remember by her husband Tom Minard; son, Kyle; sister, Geraldine Henwood (Howard); daughter in law, Joanna; and numerous close friends. Jacki was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Shirley Henwood; and son, Chris. Jacki graduated with the Class of 1978 from Forest Lawn High School and after raising her boys, continued her education at Olds College in the Landscape Gardener Apprentice Program. She worked seasonally for the City of Calgary Parks Department in many different positions. While working in IPM she loved to shock people by telling them she was a “contract Killer.” Jacki loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She would use an alias when calling into 311. Many people knew “Juanita”. She especially loved music – from musicals to new age, she enjoyed it all. She shared an interest in sports with her son, Kyle. The Blue Jays and Flames were “their” teams. Jacki loved to help others and was available day or night for her family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Jacki’s honor to be forwarded to the Vasculitis Foundation Canada (www.vasculitis.ca www.vasculitis.ca or the Calgary Humane Society www.calgaryhumane.ca. A Celebration will be held for Jacqueline at Pineridge Community Hall on Friday November 13, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Dress is casual.
