Irene Myrtle Reschke

July 2, 1935 — February 11, 2012

RESCHKE, Irene Myrtle (nee Fritzke) July 2, 1935 February 11, 2012 Irene passed into the presence of the Lord on February 11, 2012, following complications from heart surgery. She is now re-united with her dear husband, Bryden, who predeceased her on October 9, 2001. She was also predeceased by her parents, Edward and Eldie Fritzke, and her brothers Arthur, Edgar and James. Irene was the much beloved mother and mother-in-law of Karen (Clair) and David (Lisa), and a devoted and loving grandmother to Erik, Nikolas, Brycen and Renee. She also leaves behind her greatly loved brothers Clarence and Alvin Fritzke (Shirley), her sister Evelyn Frers (William) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was a friend and confidante to many. Her bright smile, humour and great stories drew many to her. She will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of the Foothills CVICU Unit 94 for their excellent care and compassion. A special thank you also, to Kwong and Pat Chow and family, for their warm love and support through this difficult time. A celebration of Irene’s life will be held at Christie’s Funeral Home, 121 Palliser Way, Yorkton, SK on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Yorkton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, www.heartandstroke.com or to the Gideon’s Bible Society, www.gideons.ca.
