Irene Melita Dais

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Irene Dais at the age of 90 on September 26, 2015. She was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by her children Judy (Les) and Fred (Claire); her grandchildren Brie-Anne and Jordan; extended family and her many close friends. Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Roy in 2004. Irene loved laughter and will fondly be remembered for her ability to see the humor in everything. She was a very strong, hardworking but private woman. She was a proud Calgarian, having grown up in Calgary. This is where she made many wonderful memories and many more wonderful friends. Irene’s passions included gardening, landscape design, all kinds of music, dancing, being outdoors, and taking her beloved canine companions for long walks. Irene blessed and enriched the lives of all who knew her and will forever be missed. In keeping with Irene’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A special thanks goes out to the caregivers at Sagewood Seniors Community in Strathmore as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.
