KOKOT, Irene May (nee Nichols) August 4, 1930 – March 23, 2012
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Irene Kokot announces her passing at the age of 81 years. She is survived by her two sons Calvin (Cathy) and Trevor; and her three grandchildren Brennan, Brock and Jarrod. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Walter, in 1988. Irene was born in Calgary and attended school near Indus. She met Walter Kokot and married in 1955 thus beginning the adventurous life of a pastor’s wife. Walter’s work took them from Kingman & Leslieville, AB, to Unity & North Battleford, SK. Eventually the family returned to Calgary where she resided until her passing. Irene loved to sing, sew and create scrapbooks. She enjoyed gardening, crosswords and reading the Bible. Funeral Service to be held at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Ave SE) on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm with internment to follow.
