Ilona Zsofia Nacsinak (nee Vincze)

On Monday, July 14, 2025 Ilona Nacsinak of Calgary, Alberta passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 78 years.

Ilona was born in Budapest, Hungary. In 1956 the family immigrated to Canada and eventually made Edmonton their home. She met Mike Nacsinak, and in 1967 they were married and moved to Calgary. They were blessed with their son Ted. Ilona spent most of her working years as a realtor. She was an amazing cook and any meal Ilona made was delicious, but some of her greatest were Transylvanian cabbage rolls and bone soup. Animals were drawn to her and Ilona loved them, especially her dogs.

Ilona's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Klasa and the staff at both the Peter Lougheed Hospital and at the AgeCare Skypoint Hospice for the exceptional care they gave her while in their care.

Ilona will be lovingly remembered by her son Edward "Ted" Nacsinak, niece Terezia Farkas of Edmonton, Alberta, and nephews Joseph Farkas of Edmonton, Alberta and Jason Vincze, of St. Albert, Alberta.

Ilona was predeceased by her siblings Alexander Vincze, Terezia Farkas and Charles Vincze.

Cremation has taken place at Foothills Crematorium.
