Hubert Clarence Wheeler, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son, passed away on November 15, 2024, just eleven days shy of celebrating his 77 birthday. Born on November 26, 1947, in the beautiful city of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Hubert lived a life infused with music, laughter, and love.
His charismatic personality left an indelible mark on all who had pleasure of knowing him. He thrived in the company of friends and family, always eager to share stories, songs, and meals that warmed the heart and brought people together. Hubert had an adventurous spirit and love of the outdoors, immersing himself in nature. His zest for life inspired those around him to embrace their own passions and celebrate each moment. Hubert will be profoundly missed for his caring nature, always placing the needs of others before his own.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverley, whose partnership is a true symbol to unwavering support and companionship. Their bond was not just of love but of a profound friendship that fueled their many adventures together. Hubert is also cherished by his son Bill and his daughter Denica (Donald) and his grandson, Jayden, all of whom carry forward his legacy of laughter and love.
His siblings— brother Dave (Velma), sisters Grete Snooks, Gloria Pynn, and Louise Squires and sister-in-law Emily, along with their families, remember him not only as a brother and uncle but as a confidant.
Hubert is also survived by his family residing in Calgary, Alberta; Beverley's two sons, Robert and Michael (Jenn), and their sons, Aidan and Christopher. His much loved niece Sharyl (Steve) and their children Connor and McKenna. Also mourning the loss is his niece Debbie Alary (Paul) and nephew John Wheeler, along with their families.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents, John and Winnifred Wheeler, as well as his brothers Bill, Jack, and Winston, and sisters Shirley, Alice, and Violet. They all hold a special place in the hearts of those left behind and will be there to welcome Hubert in loving embrace.
As per Hugh's wishes, there will be no formal service. As we remember him, let us celebrate a life that was rich with love, music, laughter, and countless cherished memories. His spirit will endure in the hearts of all who knew him, a reminder to embrace life fully, with joy and compassion.
