Heather Chant Leonard (Nee Knowler)

Heather Leonard, affectionately known as Grammie, passed away in her hometown of Calgary on Tuesday May 25, 2021. At the age of 72, her long battle with COPD ended peacefully with family by her side.

Heather enjoyed a career at the Royal Bank of Canada followed by several exciting business ventures with her kindred entrepreneurial sprit and love of her life, husband Georges (deceased 2009).

Now two loving parents remain forever in the hearts and memories of their devoted sons, Tyler (Nicky) and Trevor (Rachel) and cherished grandchildren, Hunter and Meagan.

Time spent with family, extended family and friends was what Heather enjoyed most. Her warmth, positive outlook on life and infectious laughter touched all who knew her and made all feel welcome. She was the mom that everyone wished they had. We feel truly blessed to have had Heather’s heart of gold in our lives.

A private memorial will be held by family and friends in the near future. However, we invite everyone to celebrate Heather now and always by embracing her approach to life, “We can all do one good deed a day”!
