With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Hartland Holloway, beloved son of the late Clarence “Snowball” and Shirley Holloway. Hartland passed away, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories.
After the loss of his parents, Hartland was raised by his devoted grandparents, the late Eddie and Elsie Holloway, who poured their love, wisdom, and strength into his life. They taught him many of life’s most important lessons - how to love unconditionally, work hard, stay humble, and always find joy in the little things. Their influence shaped the man Hartland became, and their legacy continued through him.
Hartland was known for his big heart, infectious humor, and the joy he brought into every room. He never missed a chance to crack a joke or lovingly tease those he cared about especially his nieces and nephews, who adored him. His presence was a gift to all who knew him.
Hartland leaves behind his beloved children: Jayda (Shelton) Baptiste and Brody (Shay) Young and was a proud grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren: Hathan, Halston, Reagen, Braden, Zendaya, Sloan, Paxton, and Wagiya. Heartland is survived by his loving sister, Teresa (Chris), whom he loved with all his heart. Hartland also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Dominick (Kira), Leelith, Shania, Kacey, Mercedes (Cassidy), Francine (Trevor), Anthalyn (Danielle), Reba and Durell. He held deep respect and love for all his uncles and aunts: Henry (Kathleen), Eddie (Connie), Dalmer (Angie), Keon (Pam), B.R. (Angela), Mark (Pricella), Farrel (Jeniffer), Benny (Myrna), Ricki, Yvonne, Christine, Vicki, Marilyn, Margarette Amos, Gayleen (Frank), Doyletta (Leon), Laureen (Darryl), Pearl, Sheila (Ronald), Donna, and Margarette (Evan); Grandparents Horace Holloway, Norman Baptiste, Shelia Labelle and Eva Baptiste.
Hartland grew up alongside his cousin-brother, Andrew Holloway, at their grandparent's home. The two shared a deep, lifelong bond that went beyond blood-they were brothers in every way that mattered. As they grew older and life pulled them in different directions, that connection never faded. Later in life, Heartland stayed with his other cousin-brother, Brandon (Holly) Holloway, finding the same sense of family, loyalty, and belonging he’d always known. To Hartland, family was everything. He shared a lifelong bond with many of his cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters to him.
Hartland’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and loyalty. Though he is no longer with us, his warmth, his humor, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Hartland was predeceased by his beloved parents, Clarence “Snowball” and Shirley Holloway, as well as by his loving grandparents, Eddie and Elsie Holloway, Albert Amos and Mary Daniels, sister Bernadine, brother Anthony, niece Desina, the mother of his children Jordina Baptiste and Renita Young, and a special friend Kylen “Brother Young".
