Hans John Brink

Brink, Hans John January 19, 1933 – February 10, 2015

John Brink passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the age of 82 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Hans (Nancy) Brink, Antoinette (Martin) Wouterse, William Brink, Richard (Shirley) Brink and Yvonne MacArthurs; grandchildren Kirstin, Aaron (Katie), Amanda (Ian), Stephanie (Tyrel), Neil, Larissa, Anthony, Jared and Michayla; great granddaughter Hannah; sister Elly (Fred) Weijde and their children David (Inches) and Irene (Joop) and their son Lars; brother Robert (Verna) Brink; his late wife’s children Caroline, David and Roy (Lindy); and many more family and friends. John was born and raised in Amsterdam. In 1954 he moved to Canada where he struggled to start a life for his family. One of his loves was racecars and he spent many years working on cars, racing and collecting models. A Memorial Service will be held for John at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 – 17 Avenue SE, Calgary) on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm.
