Gwen Misson passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the age of 51 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 7 years, Darren Gantz; six children, Larry (Janet) Misson, of Swift Current, SK, Michael (Kim) Misson of Calgary, AB, Justin (Meryhia) Carnahan, Corey Carnahan and Eric Gantz all of Calgary, AB; eight grandchildren, Aleigha, Aubrey, Whitney, Brooklyn, Grayson, Anthony, Danika and Devylah; mother Astrid Misson; siblings Gary Misson, Murray Newitt, Beverly Haliday, Judy Ockey and Ronnie Misson; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Glen Misson and siblings Wendy Misson, Diane Newitt and Jeannie Misson. Gwen was born and raised in Crowsnest Pass, AB but eventually moved to Calgary where she graduated from St. Francis High school. She lived both in Alberta and Ontario over the years but Calgary has been her home for the last few years. She was a proud mother of 6 children, but she was an even prouder grandmother to eight grandchildren. Both her children and grandchildren were her greatest passion. She also loved her Dog Heidi as another child. A Funeral Service will be held for Gwen at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel, 4121 17 Avenue SE, on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with viewing starting at 1:00 p.m.
