Grace Harriet Reid

Grace Reid passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the age of 82 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years Ross; children Rhonda (Jim) Durand and Ken (Andrea) Reid; grandchildren Jordan (JP) Gronberg, Jacob, Brittany (Matt) and Jamie (Klayton); great grandson Joshua; sisters Doris Little, Ruby (Wally) Schlamp and Val (Jackson; and many more family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Cecil & Minnie McClelland. Grace was born one of four daughters to her parents in Regina, SK. After finishing her schooling years she began working at Sears and then attended Bible College. She met the love of her life Ross Reid and they were married in 1959. They started in Regina and then spent time in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario and eventually made Calgary their home. Grace loved knitting, listening to Gospel Music, playing board or card games and going on cruises. Her family was very important to her as she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and kept in close contact with her sisters all through her life. Grace’s family would like to thank the staff of Rosedale Hospice for the exceptional care they took of their wife and mother and grandmother. A Memorial Service will be held for Grace at Falconridge Family Church (155 Falconridge Crescent NE, Calgary) on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 1:30 pm. Interment of the urn will take place prior to the service.
