The stars are shining brighter after receiving a beautiful angel into heaven on Saturday, August 30th. Gloria Francis Llewellyn (nee Lawrence) made her way to heaven to be with her husband Fred (2005), grandson Craig (2010), brother Rick (2004), and her parents Nora and William. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Pam (Peter) Gabris, granddaughter Alyssa, and daughter Debbie (Glenn) Garvin. Her sister Carla and niece Racheal were thankfully here to help and held mom’s hand while she travelled to heaven. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at the Forest Lawn Legion where she spent many good times enjoying cards, music and socializing. The social butterfly enjoyed taking time for Timmies coffee (double/double) or a good drink to laugh and reminisce on good times. The last few years were difficult and her friends made it easier to continue going through each day fighting. Thank you to Dr. Tang, the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic and Santuari Hospice for taking care of my mom through her last weeks. Please join in a Celebration of Mom’s Life and transition into Heaven at Pierson’s Forest Lawn Chapel (4121 17 Ave. S.E. 403-235-3602) Thursday, September 4, at 11:00am with viewing one hour prior. A reception will follow immediately after. Please wear something bright or glittery in mom’s honor. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Canadian Cancer Society.
