Ghyslaine (Lynn) Boucher

With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ghyslaine (Lynn) Jacqueline Marie Boucher (nee Guindon), age 74, of Calgary, on Thursday, October 9, 2025.

Lynn was born on April 6, 1951, in Kapuskasing, Ontario, to Henri and Yvette Guindon (nee Chevrier). She grew up in a bustling household as the youngest of nine children, having four brothers and four sisters.

As a young woman, she moved to Calgary, Alberta and married the love of her life with whom she would share 46 wonderful years, Benoit (Ben) Boucher, on March 18, 1972. Soon after they started their family, and with great joy welcomed three daughters – Danielle, Renée, and Sarah.

Lynn was strong in her Catholic faith and enjoyed a long career as an Administrator with the Calgary Catholic School District. In her personal life, she had many interests – she loved animals and gardening, following the Royals, playing cards and other games, and was always a voracious reader, historical romance novels being her favorite. She was also an avid sports fan and had great fun watching a rousing game of football or hockey on TV! Most of all, she loved people deeply and shared that love freely with everyone around her.

Lynn is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughters Danielle Temple (nee Boucher) and Renée Boucher, son-in-law Eric Temple, grandchildren Christopher Temple, Dylan Temple, Cole Temple, and Tanner Boucher (nee Scott), all of Calgary, siblings Leo-Paul Guindon, Eliette (Sergio) Belsito (nee Guindon), Aimé (Elizabeth) Guindon, Pauline Guindon, Jean-Yves (Linda) Guindon, and Roger (Sheila) Guindon, all of Ontario, and Henriette (Rino) Boucher (nee Guindon) of Airdrie, and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Benoit and cherished daughter Sarah, parents Henri and Yvette, sister Marcelle Guindon (nee Renaud) and sister-in-law Raymonde Guindon.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Lynn on October 25, 2025 at the Greater Forest Lawn 55+ Society main hall, located at 3425 26 Avenue SE, from 2:00-4:00 pm. All are welcome.

When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand

That an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand.
