In loving memory of Gerhard Ludwig Dielissen, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and successful business owner. Gerhard passed away on April 16, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta, surrounded by his loving family.
Gerhard was born on July 20, 1938, in Essen, Germany. One of the most cherished memories he leaves behind is the beautiful love story he shared with his wife Heide. They met when they were just 15 years old and went on to build a life together that spanned continents and generations.
Together, Gerhard and Heide embarked on a new chapter in Canada. Gerhard immigrated to Portage-La Prairie, Manitoba where Heide later joined him. There they welcomed two children into their hearts before eventually making Calgary their forever home where their family of six became complete. Gerhard's dedication to both his family and his business was unwavering, earning him respect and admiration from all who crossed his path.
In this time of mourning, Gerhard is reunited with his beloved parents Ludwig and Elfriede in eternal peace. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be carried on by his surviving family and friends. Heide, his devoted wife of 65 years, continues to cherish the memories they created together. Gerhard will be deeply missed by his children, Bruce (Sheila), Sandra, Cary & Marina (Kelley); grandchildren, Carina (Tim), James (Renee), Andrea (Steve), Markus, Jonah, Brenden, Max & Kathleen; great-grandchildren, Oscar, Jude, Eleanor, Simon, Owen & Mae - each one a testament to the love he shared with those around him.
His warm and giving nature touched the lives of all who knew him. As we say goodbye to Gerhard Ludwig Dielissen, let us remember him not with sorrow but with gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives. May his legacy of kindness live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
