On Saturday, July 24, 2021 Mr. Garry Harold Filpula, beloved husband of Susan Duxbury of Calgary, Alberta passed away at the age of 69 years.
Garry was born on July 8, 1952 in Edmonton, Alberta to Rita and Harold Filpula. In 1986 he attended the University of Calgary and completed his Bachelor of Arts, majoring in psychology. Garry also enjoyed working as a journeyman carpenter. He loved music, reading, writing and truly enjoyed Jeopardy.
Besides his wife Susan, Garry is also survived by his three children from his first wife, Mary, Jenny, David, and five grandchildren; his step children Susanlee, Bobby, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He will also be lovingly missed by his sisters Brenda, Debbie, and numerous other relatives and friends. Garry was predeceased by his sister Bonnie.
A celebration of life will be held in the fall so all the many family and friends may attend.
