Frederick William "Bill" Moses

Bill was born in Blairmore, Alberta to Gwendolyn Lily Norton and Owen Llyr Moses, the eldest of five boys. He grew up in Fort Macleod close to aunts, uncles and cousins.  

A loving father and husband, he is survived by his wife Penelope and his children, Michael, Elizabeth and Stephanie and six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nathan and Logan Moses, Slater Flores and Harrison and Radley Harker. Bill is also survived by his brothers, Bob, Richard and Scott. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Christopher.

Bill enjoyed an active life, hiking, camping, scuba diving and golf. His greatest enjoyment after his children was photography. His work was recognized with awards and sold in galleries and private collections. He was published in Black and White Photography in 2008 where he was short listed as Photographer of the Year, Still Life Category.  

He was a scout leader with the youth group in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had built his own telescope and enjoyed sharing the wonders of the universe with the young. He had a love of the outdoors and nature with a respect for wild life. Even spiders in the house were granted reprieve.

Bill was a man his children admired and cherished. He shared his time and experience with each, passing on wisdom and memories. He enjoyed a good joke and his laughter filled the room. Never to hold a grudge, he always chose forgiveness over bitterness.  

He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 3 at 5:00 PM at Pierson’s Funeral Service Ltd, 4121-17" Avenue S.E, Calgary.
