Folasade Olayemi Abiola (Nee Yadeka – Akinfenwa)

It is with immense sadness that the family of Folasade Abiola (nee Yadeka-Akinfenwa) announces her passing on October 30, 2021 at the age of 59.

Sade will be lovingly remembered by her three children Timi, Siji & Lola Abiola; her siblings, Bose Oladini, Lara Aderibigbe, Akin Akinfenwa, and Bode Akinfenwa; her parents David & Abigail Akinfenwa, and all other members of her extended and church family, as well as her cherished friends. Sade was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness and attention to the smallest of details about the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passion for horticulture and botany was apparent to all those who visited her home and were greeted by a beautiful array of plants and flowers. Her love for Jesus and her devotion to evangelism were among the greatest hallmarks of her life. Sade’s faith in God endured and sustained her in her final days on this side of heaven. Despite the immeasurable sense of loss that her passing has brought, we hold on to the hope that we will see her again on that great resurrection morning.

A Funeral Service in memory of Sade will be held on Friday November 12, 2021 at 12:00pm at the Bridgeland Seventh-day Adventist Church (48 12 St NE, Calgary) with Pastor Terrence Horrell officiating. A livestream of the service can be accessed
